Clark County Zine Club – Call for Art

5 5 people viewed this event.

We are pleased to announce a call for art for our newest exhibition, Clark County Zine Club.

The world of zines allows for a multitude of different forms of DIY art creation. We are asking artists to submit a single zine each for consideration into our unofficial zine club exhibition! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Our juror for this exhibition is Jeffrey Bennington Grindley. He is a zine editor who was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over Jeff’s career, he has facilitated and co-hosted several spoken word open mic events and has self-published multiple zines including Empty Letters, Memories Slip Through the Cracks and Black Tape, Low Key, and AMFAO. Other zine related projects include the founding and opening of the Las Vegas Zine Library at Emergency Arts Center in July 2010, which later moved to and is currently residing in UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art. He likes playing in the sandbox with cameras, words, pigment, and sound.
