Barrick Museum closed through Jan. 2

The Barrick Museum at UNLV announced on Dec. 12 that in the wake of the Dec. 6 shooting that occurred on campus it will remain closed until Jan. 2, and several art events have been canceled. For continued updates, follow @unlvmuseum on Instagram.

 

 

 

City of Reno seeking input on sculpture proposals for Oddie Boulevard

The City of Reno is seeking input on three finalists’ proposals for a public art installation on Oddie Boulevard. To participate, watch the the presentations that start at minute 14 in this video, then fill out this community input survey. The survey will be open until this Sunday, Dec. 17 at midnight.

City of Reno awards Arts & Culture Grants

The City of Reno awarded 36 Arts & Culture Grants—18 for projects and 18 for events taking place in 2024—totaling $193,709, to arts organizations at its Dec. 13 meeting. Funding for the Arts & Culture Event Grants comes from the City’s general fund and room tax. Funding for the Arts & Culture Project Grants comes from room tax.
