City of Reno seeks input on North Valleys roundabout sculpture

Reno’s Regional Transportation Commission is seeking community input on a proposed sculpture for a roundabout at Sky Vista Parkway and Silver Lake Road. The City has selected three finalists—James Dinh, Tylur French and Virginia Kistler—and is asking residents to rank their top choices in this survey, which will be open through May 8.

Sierra Arts Foundation is seeking a part-time Associate Specializing in Membership & Communications in its downtown Reno office. Duties include recruiting artists, managing social media, and other communications tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent communications and multi-tasking abilities. Artist announced for new work for Reno aquatics center

The City of Reno announced on April 17 that Michele Gutlove, a glass artist based in Olympia, Washington, has been selected to create an installation for the new Moana Springs Community Aquatics & Fitness Center. The announcement reads, in part, “Michele will be creating both exterior and interior artworks that are inspired by the setting, nestled within view of several mountain ranges.”

City of Reno has 3 new arts commission members

The Reno City Council appointed three new members to the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission in March: Tyna Sloan, a librarian with the Washoe County Library System; Alysia Dynamik, artist and Executive Director of The Generator; and Skye Snyder, artist and arts educator.
